Can I set my own password on my Virtual Machine?

When you create a new VM, a random password is set for you.  If you wish to utilize your own password, you will need to set it through root or administrative access on your server.  Likewise, if you reset your password through the Codero Cloud ServerPortal, a random password will be generated and displayed.

You can only set your own password via root or administrative console access on the server.

If you do change your root or administrative password outside of the Codero Cloud ServerPortal, please be sure to update ServerPortal.com with the new password you utilize in case you need technical support from Codero.
