WHM uses a brute force protection system called cPHulk. Occasionally this can block you if you were to fail to correctly log in too many times. The number of failed logins allowed by cphulk is configurable by going to the Security Center section in WHM and then clicking on cPHulk Brute Force Protection.
To prevent yourself from being blocked by cPHulk, click on the White/Black List Management tab and enter your IP address in the White List box and click the Quick Add button.
