CPU Benchmark Score numbers are built from an average of score tests acquired with different compositions (motherboard, memory, cache, ...)

The Score number is reached by summing all small pieces of counted processes performed during a test, which means the highest number is the highest amount of processes counted.

Processors can constantly change their score to UP or DOWN due to the addition of more recent tests performed.

When comparing Codero Servers, you can use the score information to select a server that better match with your requirements.

• Backup Server
  A backup server serves as a backup to another server(s). This is a minimal requirement for a business’ disaster recovery plan offering a duplicate storage center for data in case of corruption or lost files. Daily requirements of this type of server typically do not require high processor speeds, however, restoration time will be determined by processor speed and RAM. Hard drive space requirements are determined by the amount of data being stored and can easily be added based on need.
• File Server
  Use a file server when you need to store and manage data files. A file server can also allow for file sharing among multiple users. Servers performing these functions can often benefit from high processor speeds and additional hard drive space.
• Application Server
  Use an application server for more complex transaction-based type applications. It supports high-end needs, has built-in redundancy, and has high-performance distributed application services for complex database access. The responsiveness of the application will be determined by the processor speed and available RAM.
• Database Server
  Use your server as a database to perform such tasks as data analysis, storage, archiving, and data manipulation. The server architecture and speed will determine how quickly an application using the database can return the results.
• Server Virtualization
  A virtualization server allows for the hosting of multiple Operating Systems or server instances concurrently. This type of use requires high processor speeds and can benefit from additional RAM and hard drive space.
• Media Server
  When you need a steady, continuous stream of data transferred, streaming servers can be used. Use a streaming server to quickly accommodate the downloading of large multimedia files such as games or videos.
