Emil Sayegh, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Emil Sayegh is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Codero Hosting. Emil joined Codero in January 2012, after launching and pioneering successful Cloud Computing and hosting businesses for Hewlett-Packard, and Rackspace.
At HP, Emil was the Vice President of Cloud Service where he led HP's entry into public cloud services. Prior to HP, Emil was the Vice President, and General Manager of the Cloud Computing Division at San Antonio-based Rackspace, the leading global provider of hosted IT services. During his tenure at the helm of the Rackspace Cloud, Emil led the company's entry into the public cloud market, and positioned it to effectively compete with the likes of Amazon AWS. At Rackspace, Emil also served as the Vice President of the Product Group, where he oversaw the global product roadmap, and lead the successful launch of the Private Cloud service and the Hosted Exchange service.
Prior to joining Rackspace, Emil spent more than 15 years in the IT industry in various successful roles. Emil was Services Marketing Director at Dell where he oversaw the global services roadmap development and marketing organization. Additionally, he served in leadership positions at several notable companies including RLX Technologies (acquired by HP), Compaq Computers (acquired by HP) and W.L. Gore and Associates. Emil holds nine patents. He earned a Bachelor Degree from the School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master Degree in Technology Commercialization from the School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Chandler Vaughn, Sr. Vice President of Product
Chandler comes to Codero from SunGard where he was the Vice President of Cloud Product Development. Chandler ran SunGard’s design and engineering efforts for the Cloud and Managed Services businesses. Chandler also defined the technical strategy for both the Recovery Services and the Managed Services businesses. Furthermore, he served as the founder and head of the Cloud Computing Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin, an experience from which he was named as the inventor on several pending patents for Distributed Block Storage.
Before joining SunGard in early 2010, Chandler worked at Rackspace and launched both the Rackspace Cloud Servers and Cloud Files products lines. He also led the Product Management and Product Marketing team for the Rackspace Managed Hosting business through their accelerated growth prior to IPO.
Chandler holds a Bachelors of Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Austin, and a MBA from Rice University. Chandler lives in Austin with his wife, is active in Austin Startup scene, and in his free time provides mentorship to local entrepreneurs and students.Follow @chandlervaughn
Robert Autenrieth, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and SVP of Operations and Customer Experience
Robert Autenrieth is the Chief Operating Officer and SVP of Operations and Customer Experience for Codero. Robert comes to Codero from Rackspace Hosting where he held multiple senior leadership positions responsible for supporting the company’s operations and customer support experience for the managed hosting market and entry into the public cloud market. Robert’s past experience include; General Manager of Data Center Engineering/Operations, Senior Director of Dedicated Storage, and Vice President of Global Customer Support Operations. Robert drives the strategic direction for Codero’s infrastructure and associated services including data center engineering and operations, networking, supply chain and procurement.
Prior to joining Rackspace, Robert spent more than 10 years in the telecommunications industry in various successful customer support and financial roles. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Texas State University and an MBA from Webster University. Robert also holds a PMP certification and is a graduate of the Leadership San Antonio class of 2009. Robert recently moved to Austin with his wife and 2 children. Eli Bowman, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Eli Bowman has served as Codero's CFO since February 2014. Previously he had served as Codero's VP of Finance & Controller since October of 2008. Prior to this, Eli was the company's Director of Business Analysis, focusing on mergers & acquisitions. Eli came in to the industry in 2006 after serving as a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for GE's insurance division. Prior to that, Eli held the role of Senior Product Analyst, leading the pricing efforts for exotic Natural Gas hedges, for Aquila Energy.
Eli has a Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science & Mathematics from the University of Central Missouri. While away from the office, he likes to spend his time outdoors with camping and hiking, playing sports of all kinds, and cooking. Jason Ackley, Vice President of Operations and Network Engineering
Jason is the VP of Operations and Network Engineering at Codero Hosting. He manages all our Data Center Operations, in addition to our Network Engineering, and Network Operations Team in Austin, Phoenix, and Chicago. He joined Codero after successful tenures at Rackspace and other high tech companies. At Rackspace, Jason was in charge of new datacenter network implementations, cloud computing networks and network scaling and optimization. He was instrumental in implementing IPv6 for the entire organization, along with heading up outage analysis and remediation planning.
Prior to joining Rackspace in June 2007, Jason honed his technical knowledge of high performance network architectures working at Sony (Sega) and various ISP services companies. An avid participant in the technology community, Jason assists vendors and works with them to develop industry specifications and test out new products. He lives with his wife and two children in Central Texas and in his free time enjoys hunting, camping, biking, water sports and flying fixed wing and rotary aircraft.Follow @defaultgw
Steve Muccini, Vice President of Marketing
Steve is a tech industry veteran working for over 20 years with both large companies and startups in IT professional services, Internet commerce, mobile app solutions and digital content creation. He is highly passionate and deeply knowledgeable when it comes to driving the business through brand development, content creation, demand generation and sales enablement.
Back in the early days of the commercial Internet in 1995, he was the Director of Internet Commerce at Corporate Software where directed the development of one of the earliest B2B solutions called CorpSoft EC. This solution featured an intelligent ad engines, software asset management and was one of the first two companies that Microsoft authorized to sell their software via download.
At Dell, also early in the evolution of the eCommerce space, Steve worked with their Fortune 1000 customers on the development of the Premier Pages. This solution served to advance the use of a dynamic and customized eCommerce solution for large enterprises even further. This success helped Dell to be one of the first companies to break a $1 million a day, all from online.
In the most recent years, Steve has been active in Austin’s startup community working with companies including Digby, Decision Critical (acquired by HealthStream) and BestFit Mobile where Steve led the effort to pivot their mobile solutions brand into the enterprise space. At each of the organizations he has been actively involved in leading the strategy around digital demand vehicles and content marketing. His strategic direction and hands-on involvement in these areas has been a critical element in driving sales velocity and overall revenue growth for each of these organizations.
