Emil Sayegh, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Emil Sayegh is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Codero Hosting. Emil joined Codero in January 2012, after launching and pioneering successful Cloud Computing and hosting businesses for Hewlett-Packard, and Rackspace.
At HP, Emil was the Vice President of Cloud Service where he led HP's entry into public cloud services. Prior to HP, Emil was the Vice President, and General Manager of the Cloud Computing Division at San Antonio-based Rackspace, the leading global provider of hosted IT services. During his tenure at the helm of the Rackspace Cloud, Emil led the company's entry into the public cloud market, and positioned it to effectively compete with the likes of Amazon AWS. At Rackspace, Emil also served as the Vice President of the Product Group, where he oversaw the global product roadmap, and lead the successful launch of the Private Cloud service and the Hosted Exchange service.
Prior to joining Rackspace, Emil spent more than 15 years in the IT industry in various successful roles. Emil was Services Marketing Director at Dell where he oversaw the global services roadmap development and marketing organization. Additionally, he served in leadership positions at several notable companies including RLX Technologies (acquired by HP), Compaq Computers (acquired by HP) and W.L. Gore and Associates. Emil holds nine patents. He earned a Bachelor Degree from the School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master Degree in Technology Commercialization from the School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Emil lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and four children. He is an avid Texas Longhorns fan, and an active outdoorsman who loves to ski, hunt, fish, boat, and travel.Follow @esayegh
Chandler Vaughn, Sr. Vice President of Product Development
Chandler comes to Codero from SunGard where he was the Vice President of Cloud Product Development. Chandler ran SunGard’s design and engineering efforts for the Cloud and Managed Services businesses. Chandler also defined the technical strategy for both the Recovery Services and the Managed Services businesses. Furthermore, he served as the founder and head of the Cloud Computing Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin, an experience from which he was named as the inventor on several pending patents for Distributed Block Storage.
Before joining SunGard in early 2010, Chandler worked at Rackspace and launched both the Rackspace Cloud Servers and Cloud Files products lines. He also led the Product Management and Product Marketing team for the Rackspace Managed Hosting business through their accelerated growth prior to IPO.
Chandler holds a Bachelors of Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Austin, and a MBA from Rice University. Chandler lives in Austin with his wife, is active in Austin Startup scene, and in his free time provides mentorship to local entrepreneurs and students.Follow @chandlervaughn
Eli Bowman, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Eli is Codero's CFO and prior to that he had served as Codero's Vice President of Finance & Controller since October of 2008. Eli was also the company's Director of Business Analysis, focusing on mergers & acquisitions. Eli came to Codero in 2006, after serving as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for GE's insurance division. Prior to that, Eli held the role of Senior Product Analyst leading the pricing efforts for exotic natural gas hedges for Aquila Energy.
Eli has a Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from the University of Central Missouri. Eli lives with his wife and two children in Missouri, coaches baseball and enjoys sports, and the outdoors with his family.Follow @bowmaneli
Jason Ackley, Vice President of Operations and Network Engineering
Jason is the VP of Operations and Network Engineering at Codero Hosting. He manages all our Data Center Operations, in addition to our Network Engineering, and Network Operations Team in Austin, Phoenix, and Dallas. He joined Codero after successful tenures at Rackspace and other high tech companies. At Rackspace, Jason was in charge of new datacenter network implementations, cloud computing networks and network scaling and optimization. He was instrumental in implementing IPv6 for the entire organization, along with heading up outage analysis and remediation planning.
Prior to joining Rackspace in June 2007, Jason honed his technical knowledge of high performance network architectures working at Sony (Sega) and various ISP services companies. An avid participant in the technology community, Jason assists vendors and works with them to develop industry specifications and test out new products. He lives with his wife and two children in Central Texas and in his free time enjoys hunting, camping, biking, water sports and flying fixed wing and rotary aircraft.Follow @defaultgw
Jason McVearry, Vice President of Marketing
As the Vice President of Marketing, Jason McVearry leads efforts to relate the Codero story and value to the world of technologists, IT professionals and developers in need of high performance hosting. Jason is in charge of the brand voice, user experience and web-driven initiatives at Codero.
With more than a decade in the hosting industry, Jason has a proven track record as a brand and customer acquisition strategist. He helped build the Media Temple Brand, working from 2003 to 2014 as a leader in the marketing department, and aided in a critical transition as Media Temple was acquired by GoDaddy, one of the world’s largest website and domain hosting companies in the world.
Jason has recently moved back to Austin, Texas, and loves to spend time with his family in one of the thousands of parks, pools and trails available in the capital city of Texas!Follow @jmcvearry
