Welcome to Codero.
What’s in a name? Plenty. As we embark on this new venture, we’ve given a lot of thought to what it means to be Codero – to be a responsive, forward-looking partner with your business so you can take advantage of the web’s true potential.
Go ahead: do a quick search for “codero” (pronounced /kō-DÂR-ō/). Is it source code, a type of fish, a famous Latin American landscape painter? Not exactly. Chances are, your search will turn up “No Results.” But if you dig deep enough, you’ll find that it is in fact derived from the Spanish word coda (the concluding passage of a piece of music) and the Latin cos (a flint-stone; to hone). So essentially it’s the both the end of something and the beginning of another.
For us, as a dedicated server and managed hosting solutions provider, the word “codero” has many meanings. It stands for embracing change in an industry that morphs into something new every day, every second, yet still having the good sense to respect how we got here. We’re a new company but with more than 15 years of seasoned experience in web hosting. Codero also means to adapt, to engage, to collaborate with our customers on solutions to online business challenges. It’s an attitude, an enthusiasm, an eagerness to explore with you the many amazing tools and technologies that define today’s online stores, interactive sites, community forums, social media platforms and more.
In coming weeks and months we’ll feature an incredible array of topics and discussions, each designed to enhance your company’s or organization’s web presence. Expect to read more about tools for start-ups, advanced SEO strategies and new options for online backup. Learn how to increase your visibility with web video, how to use online survey tools and how to create wikis for business projects. We’ll cover Shopping 2.0 and trends like cloud computing that are already changing the way you conduct business, as well as how search just keeps getting better and better. And we’ll continue to share what we learn about multi-touch, social media, real-time information delivery and the emerging “Internet of Things”.
Stay tuned. This is going to be fun, and we hope, informative. Have something to bring to the discussion? We encourage you to send us your suggestions and comments and connect with us on Twitter and Facebook!
