In honor of Earth Day, which is Sunday, April 22, Codero will be matching our customers’ donations to plant trees through our Plant-a-Tree program. First off, we wanted to give a big thanks to those of you who donated. This year our customers donated generously to the cause and with our dollar for dollar match (plus a little extra) we’ll be able to plant over 1,000 trees in places that need it most.
We will be donating to AmericanForests.org who will be planting the trees on our behalf in areas of the US that are suffering from deforestation.
Not only that, but we also have a few team members planting trees themselves including our CEO, Emil Sayegh, and our Director of Sales, Lenny Hihath. Will, one of our Team Codero customer care members is so passionate about trees and the environment, that he ends many of his customer calls and live chats with a genuine request to donate a tree which always gets a smile from his customers. Also, I am not sure if you knew that the green in the Codero logo is meant to symbolize our commitment as a company to being green, and eco-friendly.

All of us at Codero from the top down believe in the importance of trees, and sustainable energy. We have won multiple awards for being a “Green Host” because of our careful and considerate use of our planet’s resources. We wear those awards as a badge of honor. Since Data Centers are big power users, we make every attempt to reduce power usage and be efficient as possible at each of our data centers. We also consume power generated from renewable energy resources. When we can’t, we purchase green energy credits to offset our energy consumption.

This is so kind action to green our planet! I always tell – only imagine if every person in the world will plant one tree every year – our planet would be better.
