We are thrilled to announce today our recent move to a new Austin home for the Codero Team! We’ve been busy moving and breaking in our new space this week, and can safely report the impact of an open floor-plan is a real thing.
Bigger and Better!
Since our CEO Emil Sayegh joined in 2012 and expanded the company to Austin from the Kansas City hub, Codero has seen explosive growth. With growth comes growing pains. Expanding quickly, we took over several spaces in our former office park, which meant we weren’t in the same space, which means critical planned and unplanned collaboration wasn’t happening.
Finding and designing a new space that fit the Codero culture and continued growth has been a top priority in Q1 2015. After months of looking at space and negotiating terms with the help of national brokerage firm, JLL, moving into our new space in the tech-hub of Northwest Hills is a huge success for team Codero!
It’s a fact that open floor-plans encourage open communication. Open communication between teams is critical for creative problem solving, interdepartmental awareness and more meaningful foosball games. When designing the new space, we took walls down and built team spaces outfitted specifically for open collaboration. At Codero, we consider ourselves as an extended family, and we treat each other as such. We work hard, but we also have fun together.
Our New Home: Work + Fun
As they say: Location, Location, Location. We could not have asked for a better and more pleasant location. Our office is located along the high-tech corridor of Austin in Northwest Hills — a picturesque, highly-sought after area of Austin where many other start-ups and growing tech companies (like VMWare, Boxx, Indeed, and Apple) are based. We are less than a few hundred feet from the most scenic bridge in Texas and within walking distance from to Bull Creek Park (one of Austin’s most beautiful and wild parks).

With top-notch living and entertainment just a couple miles away, what company wouldn’t want to be in Northwest Hills? You know where the next company barbeque is going to be! As you may know, the Codero family is big on company barbeques and outdoor events… and the occasional foosball contest.
Finally, working in this area means our new office comes with a much better view of Austin’s gorgeous landscapes. We’ve even got a spacious private balcony to appreciate the view!
Every detail about our new location is a huge upgrade, and we can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve over the coming months and years.
