Codero Hosting Gives Back with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program

For the third year in a row, Codero Hosting is honored to participate in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which helps local families that have fallen on hard times by providing toys and clothing to children in Travis and Williamson counties. This year, the Salvation Army of Austin’s goal is to give gifts to more than 6,400 children, and Codero has committed to help the cause!

In 2014, Codero sponsored over 35 children in the Austin and Kansas City areas! Our goal this year is to be even better and sponsor an additional 20 children! We all love participating in the Angel Tree program because it’s a fun way to give back by shopping for a child and thinking about the smile she’ll have when she opens her presents on Christmas morning.

Any company that wants to participate in the Angel Tree program can “adopt” angels and purchase gifts to place under an “Angel Tree” at their workplace! In Austin, there are more than 200 Angel Trees to be found in businesses, churches, shopping malls, and more. Every group gets Angel ornaments (with the wishes, needs, and clothing size of the children) and mesh bags to hold each Angel’s toys and clothing.

If you live in the Austin area and would like to give back by volunteering to sort, package, and distribute gifts, you can sign up today!

Here are some pictures of our Angel Trees from 2014. This year, we’re hoping to fill them up with even more gifts and holiday cheer!
