World Class Technical Performance Required
Netcraft derives this list by testing the websites of hosting providers for failed requests every 15 minutes all month long. That’s right, every 15 minutes, day in and day out, from multiple data centers throughout the world. You can view the performance chart here.
Why failed requests instead of outage time? According to Netcraft’s website, “From a customer’s point of view, the percentage of failed requests is more pertinent than outages on hosting companies’ own sites, as this gives a pointer to reliability of routing, and this is why we choose to rank our table by fewest failed requests, rather than shortest periods of outage.” Great technical performance is required.
